Private Yoga Instruction and Yoga Therapy
at Living Room Yoga

We provide private yoga  and yoga therapy to persons with a variety of needs and goals to promote healing on a physical, psychosocial, intellectual, and spiritual level.  Some clients simply want to learn more about yoga before joining a group class; others want to improve their yoga practice; and others are seeking healing due to medical, orthopedic, or emotional issues.

Regardless of your needs, be assured that each of our instructors has been hand-picked by the director based on their expertise, background, and ability to create a rich and safe experience to allow you to reach your particular goals.

What to Expect:

Prior to the first session, you will be asked to fill out a wellness questionnaire addressing your physical, energetic, emotional, and spiritual state of being.  This process is as much for you as for your teacher/therapist, as it helps you to begin to make connections between your mind, body, and spirit.  After we have received your questionnaire, you will be matched with the teacher/therapist who can best meet your needs and help you reach your goals. You may also request a specific teacher if you prefer.

The first session is 1 1/2 hours.  In addition to receiving an introduction to yoga techniques, your teacher may assess your breathing, posture, movement, cardiovascular fitness, nutrition, or body measurements, depending on your needs and goals.  From the assessment, you and your teacher/therapist develop a plan to address your goals using the tools of yoga.  Depending on your particular circumstances, you may schedule further private sessions or transition into a group class.

Bring a camera to your session so that we can document your assignments.
